Update
I thought the "Real World" was bad. But tonight, I saw a commercial for a show that may be worse. I wasn't a huge fan of "Temptation Island" either, but now the Style channel presents "Diary of an Affair," which chronicles people as they have extra-marital affairs! Hooray for cable!

My brother Jason once bought two rats, and two hamsters. He put them in the cage together, and jokingly said he wanted them to breed and make "Ramsters."
To no surprise, they didn't breed. In fact, they began to eat each other. The hamsters bit each other, and one of the rats put an end to it by biting one of their heads clear off. "Gizmo," the hamster I saved from the terror, lived a happy life until we bought a new hamster and put them together. The new hamster was diseased, died shortly, and infected the other, who was otherwise perfectly healthy and of friendly demeaner. "Gizmo" was laid to rest outside my bedroom window, under a lilac bush.
I think on some nights I can hear her, squeaking away on her wheel, not expecting...but hoping, that perhaps today we'll give her a pretzel.
