Mission Accomplished

For those of you that were not already aware, I have just accepted a position with PGE Park in Portland, Oregon. I will be serving as the Media Relations Coordinator, working as the primary media contact for the Portland Timbers USL team and as a secondary contact for the Portland Beavers, the Triple-A baseball affiliate of the San Diego Padres. I will have a large and diverse workload to keep me busy every day, but I'm very excited to be undertaking this.

For those of you in the Toledo area, I will be leaving very shortly so give me a call! I'm departing on February 2nd for the weekend to find an apartment, return on Sunday, and then I leave for good the following Tuesday. I'm currently scheduled to start work in Portland on Monday, February 13.

Thanks to everyone for their support during the application process, and I, for one, am glad it started and concluded so quickly. I hope to see some visitors at the Park this summer! And Steve, that means getting you on a plane!

Congratulations Brad, though I don't think I'll be able to get back to town to see you before you leave. We'll see though.

How long do you think you'll be out there?

I will be there AT LEAST until the end of the playing season, which would be around the end of September/early October, and beyond that, anything's possible.

Failor, I'll let you know about the mascot as soon as I get there. It's a beaver, what could be better? And what is Lima Time?

Heya Brad - congrats on finding a job so quickly; that's no small feat these days! If you're flying in, are you planning to buy a car or stick to public transport?

Keep me updated on your schedule, because I might have to schedule in a bit of a road trip once you're settled in and whatnot.

Well - good luck in the upcoming months!!

ps - HardFi are playing at the Troubadour here for $10 tomorrow night! Unfortantely I don't think I'll make it, but it's the second time I've noticed they're in town, so I'm sure they'll be back.
