Life, or something like it...

What a whirlwind it's been...

I apologize for the long delay between posts, but life around here has been breezing by so quickly. Since Michelle left I've been working constantly at the stadium to get the baseball program and media guides done (about 300 pages combined). It meant about two weeks of 9am to 11pm days, but we got them done and they look fantastic. I've also been busy writing Timbers releases (www.portlandtimbers.com) to announce the latest player signings.

There is definitely an air of excitement here now because things have finally gotten underway. What we work so hard for in the off-season (or half of it for me) is to get everything ready for the season to begin. We just barely made it ahead of time for the Opening Night for the Beavers last Thursday night, but we pulled it off and everything went smoothly. It's fun to report to the stadium every day and be hussling to get everything ready for the first pitch. I'm going to be running the GameDay software for the Beavers, and I have been spending the games practicing the computer codes so that I'm ready to go live on the next homestand. Be sure to tune in and watch the games live next homestand!

The hours have taken some getting used to and Lucy has gotten pretty lonely, but the work itself is very rewarding. And you can't beat the view...
